【摘要】:Thisdocumentspecifiesmethodsforthedeterminationofthecloudpointofsolutionsofnon-ionicsurfaceactiveagentsobtainedbythereactionofethyleneoxidewithahydrophobicbasemolecule.Thisdocumentprimarilyappliestosurfactantsobtainedbyreactionofethyleneoxidewithhydrophobicbasemolecules,suchasfattyalcohols,fattyacids,long-chainalkylphenols,fattyamines,fattyacidestersofsugarderivativesamongotherethoxylatednon-ionicsurfactants,whicharebyfarthemostcommonlyused.NOTEOthernon-ionicsurfactantscontainingotherstructuralunits,suchaspropyleneoxide-ethyleneoxideblockcopolymers,havedistinctivebehavioursthatmakethedeterminationofthecloudpointmoredifficult.Thisleadssometimestoacontinuousturbidityoveratemperaturerangeofseveraldegreesoreventotheoccurrenceoftwocloudpointsatsignificantlydifferenttemperatures.
