【摘要】:Thispracticeisprimarilytobeusedtodrysamplesforthedeterminationofmercurytestportions,anditshouldnotbeusedforthedeterminationofsamplemoisturecontent.Mostsamplepreparationmethodsprescribedryingthesamplesat105x00B0;C,untilaconstantmassisobtained.Themoisturecontentisdeterminedasthepercentagemasslossondrying.However,sincemercurycanvolatizefromsamplesatthenormallyutilizedtemperature,samplesthataretobeusedformercurydeterminationshallbedriedat60x00B0;C(seePracticeE877,ISO9599,ISO12743,andISO10251).Itisassumedthatallwhousethispracticewillbetrainedanalystscapableofperformingskillfullyandsafely.ItisexpectedthatworkwillbeperformedinaproperlyequippedlaboratoryunderappropriatequalitycontrolpracticessuchasthosedescribedinGuideE882.1.1Thispracticecoversthesampledryingstepforthedeterminationofmercuryinores,concentrates,andrelatedmetallurgicalmaterials.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
