【摘要】:1.1Thispracticeoutlinesaproceduretoobtainarecordofnormalizedresistanceofsandstothepenetrationofastandardsamplerdrivenbyastandardenergyforestimatingsoilliquefactionpotentialduringearthquakes.Thenormalizedpenetrationresistancedeterminedinthispracticemaybeusefulfordeterminationofotherengineeringpropertiesofsands.1.2ThispracticeusesTestMethodD1586withadditionsandmodificationstominimizedisturbanceofsaturatedloosecohesionlesssandsduringdrilling.ThispracticecombinesresultsofTestMethodD1586andinterpretsthedatafornormalizationpurposes.1.3DuetoinherentvariabilityoftheSPT,guidanceisgivenontestconfigurationandenergyadjustments.Penetrationresistanceisadjustedforenergydeliveredinthepenetrationtest.Energyadjustmentscanbeestimatedormeasuredandreported.1.4Standardpracticefornormalizingpenetrationresistancevaluesisgiven.Penetrationresistancedataarenormalizedtoastandardoverburdenstresslevel.1.5Thenormalizedpenetrationresistancedatamaybeusedtoestimateliquefactionresistanceofsaturatedsandsfromearthquakeshaking.Evaluationofliquefactionresistancemaybeappliedtonaturalgroundconditionsorfoundationsforeitherplannedorexistingstructures.1.6Usingthispracticerepresentativedisturbedsamplesofthesoilcanbecollectedforidentificationpurposes.1.7Thispracticeislimitedtouseincohesionlesssoils(seeTestMethodD2487andclassificationsofSM,SW,SP,SP-SM,andSW-SMPracticeD2488).Inmostcases,testingisperformedinsaturateddepositsbelowthewatertable.Insomecases,drysandsmaybetested(see).Thispracticeisnotapplicabletolithifiedmaterialsorfinegrainedsoils.Gravelcaninterferewiththetestandresultinelevatedpenetrationresistancevalues.Normalizationofpenetrationresistancevaluesforgravellysoilsisbeyondthescopeofthispractice.Penetrationresistancemeasurementsoftenwillinvolvesafetyplanning,administration,anddocumentation.Thispracticedoesnotpurporttoaddressallaspectsofexplorationandsitesafety.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Performanceofthetestusuallyinvolvesuseofadrillrig;therefore,safetyrequirementsasoutlinedinapplicablesafetystandards.Forexample,OSHAregulations,DCDMAsafetymanual,drillingsafetymanuals,andotherapplicablestateandlocalregulationsmustbeobserved.1.8Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunits,areshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotequivalents,therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.1.8.1Inpressurecorrectioncalculations,commonunitsareton/ft2,kg/cm2,atm,andbars.Sincetheseunitsareapproximatelyequal(withinafactorof1.1),manyengineersprefertheuseoftheseunitsinstresscorrectioncalculations.ForthoseusingkPaorkN/m2,100kPaisapproximatelyequaltooneton/ft2.Thestressexponent,n,(see)isapproximatelyequalfortheseunits.1.9Thispracticemaynotbeapplicableinsomecountries,states,orlocalities,whererulesorstandardsmaydifferforapplyingpenetrationresistancetoliquefactionestimates.Otherpracticesexistforestimatingsoilinstabilityfrompenetrationresistancedata.Proceduresmaychangewithadvancesingeotechnicalengineering.Itisdependentontheuserinconsultationwithexperiencedengineerstoselectappropriatemethodsandcorrectiontodata.Inearthquakeeng......
